David Chavez has worked at EGR for almost 9 years – starting his career back in 2011. David was introduced to EGR when he brought his uncle to the office to apply for a job. It was discovered that day that David had experience in the industry and possessed the skills needed to fill a role the team was lacking. He is one of our best carpenters. His passion for his work is displayed through the beautiful products created by him and our other excellent carpenters. David keeps the custom department on top of business and ensures each product exceeds expectations.
Describe your day to day role as the Custom Department Lead:
On top of building pieces myself, I oversee the custom department and make sure everything is running smoothly.
What has been your favorite project to date and why?
The Oklahoma State Capitol is one of my favorite projects. It’s a huge project and it has some really cool designs.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy going to church, spending time with my family and playing soccer.
What’s the most gratifying part of the job?
We get some pretty crazy projects, so I like to document the process by taking pictures. It’s cool to see the final product after all of our hard work.
