EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT!

Kathy Wilson has been a Project Engineer at EGR since mid 2018. Her previous work at another cabinet shop provided her with the experience needed to make the transition to EGR. Kathy will not take “no” for an answer. She goes to any length to provide for our customers and partners and will never cut a corner along the way. Kathy knows how to get the job done!

 

Describe your day to day role as Project Engineer:

 

My role consists of communicating and coordinating with the project managers on all current and active jobs. I take a new job from contract review to gather information from general contractors on the jobs schedule and review and submit drafted shop drawings to the GC. From there I order samples, pursue the return of the drawings from the GC, and make sure the GC and project manager know everything about each and every project.

 

What has been your favorite project to date? Why?

 

Dell Children’s MOB. It has been a complicated project with an aggressive schedule that’s been rewarding to work on.

 

What is your biggest challenge on any given job?

 

Getting all of the right information from the start to make the job successful

 

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

 

I enjoy camping, fishing, and going to California to visit my granddaughters where I get to watch them compete in cross country and softball. I also spend my time raising and taking care of our herd of hair sheep.

 

What’s the most gratifying part of the job?

 

Making my EGR project manager and the customer happy by meeting their schedule and helping to make each and every job successful.
